Superbad = Supergood
After 4 months of sporadic online bickering, B. and I finally had the chance to view and discuss a movie in person. We picked a good one for a post-hangover Sunday evening: Superbad, starring Michael Cera of "Arrested Development" and Jonah Hill of Knocked Up. Great flick, though like most comedies I've seen in the past year, I felt like the hilarious first half gave way to a slower/sappier conclusion. I'll give this film an enthusiastic 2.5 PB Jars and open it up to B. and our faithful readers to share their own thoughts...

Clever title, P...NOT! I think you're the 671,235th person to have that exact thought. Bring something original next time, jerkface!
Superbad was so supergood that I'm putting it up on the PB picks list! This film was my most highly anticipated of the summer season and it delivered on all cylinders. Superbad now enters the Pantheon of excellent "end of high school" genre comedies, surpassed only by the incomparable Dazed and Confused, and possibly Can't Hardly Wait.
Anonymous, here is my revised title:
Superbad = Nick Is A Jerkface.
Satisfied?
I back up B on this one. Superbad was freaking hilarious- I had tears rolling down my cheeks at a few points- most notably the whole penis drawing bonanza. I think it is up there with Dazed and Confused and Fast Times at Ridgemont High for great high school movies. I disagree about the Can't Hardly Wait though, I certainly liked that movie a lot, but thought it dragged a lot, and certainly find it inferior to this piece of comic gold. I will agree with P though that they could have cut out a little bit in the middle however.
